Just an observation. I was there whent the awarding took place. How come the ones called up and awarded on stage were different from the top three finishers based on the final race results? This is particularly true in the 15km race. I think proper recognition should have been given to the real winners.

Yes, will do that and thanks too for your constructive comments. I must say that because of the RUNEW fun run a lot of doctors of Asian Hospital are now into running...we are even planning to have another funrun around asian hospital during our foundation week this coming May. But this will probably be exclusive to Asian hospital doctors and employees.

Thank you very much Dr. Tuason and looking forward to your Festival Mall run. By the way, as the registration form was mentioned in this thread, the organisers might want to run the document through a lawyer before next year's event, as I think there are some serious typos in the key terms of the liability waiver.

I am taking notes on all your comments with regards to the parking and the start time of the run and I assure you that in the next Asian Hospital fun run with Rio, it will even be better. Hope to see you all again next year.

I did read carefully the wording of the document that I signed at the time, but it was a waiver.

But even granting that the registration form did specify a 5:45 start, that would still mean that the organisers put out TWO conflicting start times -- unless they are now disowning 1.) the race packets and 2.) the posters that both clearly specified a 5:30. The forms were collected by the organisers and it was the packets that were left with the participants, so it was the timetable that we followed. Maybe it's all the printing house's mistake, I'll grant them that.

I had no problems with the parking, since I anticipated the bottleneck. Except for this 15-minute issue, I agree it was a great run, one of the best I've been to, and the organisers deserve our thanks. Cheers!

Thanks jmb for clearing the late start issue. All Runrio races (except for 1 last year) start on time because there is a countdown timer which starts at 4:30 am. It does not wait for celebrities who come late or for anyone who hasn't parked his car yet because of the parking lot bottleneck. Check the race registration form you signed. Just have to defend Rio who helped us organize a great run.
