National marathon record holder Sonny Wagdos ruled the Makati leg of the Tri-City Half Marathon, held on July 5 at Ayala Triangle Gardens. Wagdos topped the men’s 21K race after clocking 1:09:21, finishing ahead of Jose Fabito Jr. (1:15:49) and Jevie Rebutazo (1:15:50), who completed the podium. Elite runner Jessa Mae Roda, meanwhile, emerged as the fastest in the women’s 21K race with a time of 1:25:23. Riding high from his victory in the Pasay leg, Bomer once again topped the men’s division in 52:45, outrunning Eduard Flores (54:09) and Ritchie Estampador (56:58). Bundotich, meanwhile, dominated the women’s division by clocking in at 1:03:10, way in front of Maricar Camacho (1:08:04) and Meljoy Gonzales (1:08:30).
